This endorsement is especially meaningful to Cheryl because Prosecutor Leyton is not only Genesee County’s elected Prosecutor, but also her boss. He has had the opportunity to see Cheryl’s work firsthand on both sides of the courtroom—as a defense attorney and now as an Assistant Prosecutor.
Prosecutor Leyton appointed Cheryl as an Assistant Prosecutor and entrusted her with some of the most difficult and serious cases handled by the office. Through that work, Cheryl has had the opportunity to advocate for victims and families, work closely with law enforcement, and serve the people of Genesee County.
